The Gospel: A Mystery Revealed, Powerful and Glorious

(Romans 16:25–27)

Today, we end our study of the book of Romans with Paul’s doxology at the close of his epistle. In it he praises God for the gospel which he describes as being a mystery revealed, powerful, and glorious. It is fitting that Paul winds up his book by bringing us to God. To God be the glory! This is where all preaching should lead.

Sermon Handout

The Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all your seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and perch in its branches. (Matthew 13:31-32)
